Suddenly I really miss everyone back in Zimbabwe. I had read this particular article about Africans in Singapore in ST-Life some days back and memories of those 13 days in Harare started rushing back. One a lighter note, one of them studying Uni here has the same name as Figo (W*nX**n!!)- Tafadzwa. And suddenly I remembered my promise to help Inte with his scholarship stuff. It just seems when Im back in Singapore, I just conveniently forget about all these friends thousands miles away and the promises I'd made to them. Perhaps Carene was right in her daily reflection that when we come back, the impact stays with us for a month or so, then it wears off. Perhaps Lam was right about accidental visitors.

I shud get down to replying Inte tmr. And perhaps fwd ing some info about singapore Uni scholarships for Africans.

"Well nothnig much happening this sidfe, just the mid of year exams that my guys are writting and they started last week nd wikll be continuing up tyo next week Thursday.I wrote mY Management of Business exam some weeks ago and i am left with the Accounts and Geographty papers coming later this year in November then after that i will leave the hose,find semewhere to saty while i wait for my results which usually come out in March.It is the house's policy that as soon as you finish school you have to leave the house and finsd somewhere to stay,however i have not been uin favour of that since its introduction because i have seen most of my brothers get bacjk to the streets .I have treid to force them to revierse their decision butb they have always said they would want to creat space for other guysd to come in the house.What then will be the piont of getting guys from the street thyen a t the ernd of the day you sen them bak again.its senseless hey.
Well i am still looking for a plce for my future school? but hopefully i wil get it before my reults come out.My brothers in South Africa are also trying to agaarnise a scholarship for me where they are but the univrsity is saying it does not offer sclolarships for outsiders so i think i will just have to look for someone to help me pay for my university.........but i dont know there is that feeling in me that is saying i wil get to the univerrsity irregardless of these financial constrains but i should pray first.I will get it i know.

I was having diarrhoea for quite long. And i hate to eat Lomotil cos it doesn work on me anymore. Mum dished out this Jap charcoal pills (from dunno where) and claimed it was damn effective.

okay lor, eat 3 black pills.

Mum looks around to see if I can bring one to UofM.

"Liyu! Check expiry date, this one for you to bring"

expiry date: dec 1999

So there are 3 pills that are overdated by 7 bloody years, now trying to make an effect on my gastrointestinal tract.

I enjoyed how matilda sang feeling good by frank sinatra tonight. And Hady. Im rooting for him!

CSI Season 6 just ended. And finally, Grissom and Sara(Jorja Fox) are together.=)

And Im gonna miss Nick Stokes.

Ooh and I felt cheated by Goki. Sometimes I feel shes damn fake. Like how she goes bitching about one person and next in front, shes like a totally different self. I kinda feel that she's making use of people sometimes to get what she wants. Like hey, she makes us (volunteers) work out in YC doing really irrelevant stuff like helping her stick her stamps just cos she is busier chatting on her MSN.

And damn it! She tells us that there is this BIG ENTHU group of rg girls/ more volunteers taking care of the Redhill and Bukit Merah elderly and told us to keep the to tanah merah old folks home. When I went there on Sat, all the popo and uncles looked so bored. They hadnt had someone to go down to see them for quite a while.

Gosh I was really pissed when I heard that.

And its pretty ironic, how she bitches about Mr Lam to me. And how Mr Lam kinda confide in me his distrust for Goki and her inefficiency. For once, you noe wad? Im on Mr Lam's side. Cos she is relly inefficient for nuts.

Well at least, he rmb-ed my Bday and called me from Jakarta. Just that I didn manage to pick up the phone call cos I was singing away.

Ooh and i got accosted 3 times by this advertising company/media placement company on 3 separate days in Orchard. I think they are al from the same company. And the fact that they approached me thrice kinda shows that their benchmark is bad. Or. They are a complete sham.
Hahaha Lala was trying to make me feel better when she said that her fren got accosted to fit in the theme of a new, unconventional look.You noe, new=weird and unconventional look.

i really chiong-ed down to redhill today to see my favourite elderly=) i havent seen them for SOOO long! like 4 months??! i got there about 11. cos i slept really late the night b4 and i bet fang was cursing me like mad when i didn turn up at 930.

well then moment i got there, the elderly recognised me and shouted at me!!! i was ssoooo sooo sooo touched. Like they dun have good eyesight (cos i did eyesight test for them before)and they RMB me.
they kept complainign like how like i haven been to see them. Really really sad when I heard that. Its like..hey im gonna leave SG for 3 long years. When i eventually go to work and when I come back to see them, would they stil rmb me?=S

anw.. i miss grumpy popo who sits at the corner, tho she always grumbles about something. Then the popo with huge specs, the leader of the outgoing female gang. who else. the deaf and mute uncle was playing chess with herbs uncle, so i couldn communicate with him.

Sigh.

I wanted to take photo with them. But then Fy reminded me that if i wanna take photo, i got to take with ALL of them, or they will be upset and jealous. So in the end, i didn have any photos=(

After that, I left for mich formal orientation. It was pretty informative. And well finaly the nitty gritty details are setting in... I just saw the list of freshman. It pretty much RJ dominated. And there was this Noob whom i added online and talked to. He seems damn difficult to get along with.


Well, then left mich orientation to meet Felix at orch. Well a nice chat with him at coffeebean and den i was almost dying already cos of only 3 hours of slp.

Well sat with sharon ang. who was like dressed in orange to the brim. we kinda bickered over whether my blue or her orange was nicer for quite some time. and kept laffing behind wenjing the pro. Wenjing is WAY cool. shes like damn dao... in a unique way. and wahhh BENSON is getting on my nerves with the Mi-chicken thingy=P miss wang keep forcing me to sit with her. BUT its so damn stressful sitting behind the gaohus and being the first erhu is scary. And cant talk kok with sharon ang.

wah finally a day of rest at home!! i slept for 14 hours straight. and missed my CSI-NY. bleag. wad else. i did a whole day of intricate planning for UofM.

i watched miss universe! the annual world peace episode.. I LOVE MS JAPAN AND MS PARAGUAY. wah they are just HOT.
and i love the way ms japan spoke her jap. its superb!

And i got my housing contract! its stockwell, triple room. Snr says its a good spot with in built dining hall. And yes,from the map it seems really close to central campus!=)

25 July, tues
woohoo. A day of bumming around with lulu and lala. and taking up space in the dressing rooms and adding extra work to the shop assistants by trying like so many pieces at one time.
$1760 gone for flight to Mich on NWA.

19th July
I went down to US embassy to get my visa done, and hey luckily lala told me to go early to avoid the sun and the long queues. I was out of the embassy at 9.50 am...read finish my short story while waiting for miss gan to come for our kbox date.






and tada, we were the first to arrive at kbox.hee. feel like some chao cheapo auntie who wants to get the best deal. the room they gave us was freaking small, cos its for two. but anw i LOVE kboxin with weilin. ITs really fun.hahah oops we tried hard at couple songs, but I think I keep screwing them up, leaving weilin to salvage the situation. When our time was up at 2 oclock, suddenly we keep FF-ing all the songs and kept hoping that the waiter outside wouldn't come in to stop us.heehee. then this weird looking waiter came in to ask us if we wanted to extend our session. Like get a drink, den get an hour free. dude, he asks weird questions as well. This is the first time I ve ever gotten someone who comes in to ask us to extend the session.

bwahaha. the man is just weird.

after that, miraculously, weilin wanted to eat,so we tried this maeastro bistro place at cine. The bolognaise is really sucky to the core. the paste was sour, sticky and the meat was tough and unchewable.....bleag. pooor weilin had to finish it.





bummed around more and searched for aloy's present. oh he msg-ed that he got stripped, DEN poled in medicamp. HOW FUN. he seemed traumatized in his msgs, yet he offered to let me see some of the photos his frens took.

and weilin got hungry again!!! so she bot ice kachang at PS and i bot popiah..and we ate and talked more. This was a day survived on 3.5 hours of sleep!=D

20th July
slept till 12 to make up for lack of sleep the day b4. den walked out with my mummy to take bus 14.. she was heading in opposite direction from me.

21st July
collected my visa in the afternoon! The queue was miraculously fast.
Slowly strolled to suntec. There was this really HOt malay guy on the bus=P

When i got to Suntec, i took a big walk around the whole area first, walking from convention ctr to tower 4. Some shops have changed while there are some additions. And so many of the shop assistants i had chatted with have left already. So sad. Even anderson ice-cream auntie has left. I hope its just that she wasnt working shift that day.

Well I sat at PinLe soya bean outlet drinking my chinchow and soya bean mix, and read the draining " Basic Forms of Religious Life" for an hour plus.

Sud Caolu was so nice to come down after her SMU talk to keep me accompany. For half an hour. But the short meeting with her was really entertaining




615 pm, went to meet the POT BELLIES OG at Marche. I hate Marche. Got to know Lora, the ajco fren, Grace, HC lion dance s71, Shenye, sam's rv's good fren. Shen ye is from xi an, my fav city!!! gosh. she couldn believe tat i love xi an when i confessed to her=P theres wenjie, daniel, shaonin etc......

there were sophomores like Val , OGL, former 407 rg, vj, rj! turns out shes jac first 3 mth's classmates in vj. theres Jerald, who has a fraternal twin. chay beng, funny man who stays in the east, wilson, the one whom everyone dun believe is from ri rj.
a freshie poser, chee chian, whos already in snr and finally liang jing.

Crapped and laughed til like 11 plus? Shenye n me got this disgusting americano iced coffee from coffee pac. ITS downright horrible. PLEASE dont order it at all.Hopped on 10 on a bus with Wenjie and ChayBeng. My brain was almost dying on the way home..=S

I just realised that Ive got almost all the flavours of body shop body gel as bday prez this yr. from 3 diff ppl/group of ppl.
