I'm officially doing ballroom dancing and INFLUX (this hiphop dance group thats affiliated to TASA)

and perhaps Operation for education of african Children (OEC). I dunno if i have the time for OEC but its a newly set up group thats gonna raise funds to build a school in cameroon. So it sounds like a dynamic, small group that has plenty of room of expansion right?

Going to Beijing for fall holiday cos Amanda is going to NY to visit weiyu and so i cant go.. and anw Dad says that his company can cover my air tix!=)) glee i miss good chinese food=D

I'm not working hard enough to get the best possible grades! I need to stop fooling around as much=( dad n mum r supporting me financially through this!!!

There is KTV in Ann Arbor! woohoo and they ve got a huge seleection of English songs and Jap songs too. thou the chinese songs are sooo soo old =)))



Happiness can come from the simplest things in life. Knowing that there's a roof over my head when its really cold outside, having an understanding roomie (oh i gave jenny a bday surprise=P), having a bunch of friends in singapore who tells you they miss you and

having a great family who stands by me with whatever decision I make.

Happiness can be really simple.

Just find the joy in everything you do. You just have to search a little harder for it; and don't ever lose it once you see it.

Hey.I havent gained any weight since I came to Michigan!!!
yayness. I love the weighing scale at CCRB=P It'd better not cheat me of my feelings.

Today was a totally healthy day. Like salad lunch, den went CCRB for kickboxing ( but no kick lei, i didn even sweat a drop=S), den went to do my threadmill and starrunner combo. And then i ate bread for dinner, topped up by a banana!

Thanks to changing my meal plan from any 9 to 135, I dont feel the stress to keep eating all the time, so that i dun luggi on meals not eaten.=P

Today so many things happened for the first time.
1. I had Chem lab session. (i got through the waiting list!)
2. I had a really light dinner.
3. I played my erhu.(sucky, my fingers are no longer agile=S i need to prac for like 2 days to get my feel back)
4. I worked at Stockwell Dining Hall!!!

Like I worked at the dishroom today. Stacking up the dishes, arranging them and then running them through the dishwasher. Pretty fun. And its good pay too! I hope to get my SSN soon, then i can start applying for my OWN credit card. LALALA.

I SAW A rice cooker at meijers today. I was staring at it for so long I could feel its desire to be wanted by me.

But then I have no rice to cook anyway for the time being. So all I could do was to bid a bitter farewell to the 19.99 rice cooker that might provide quite a number of my meals in winter.

Why is everyone damn gan cheong i haven't found a guy yet!?!

School started yesterday. Absolutely awesome. Everyone is just so friendly and outspoken. Time to learn to speak as I think. Taking Asian Studies 230, Chem 210 with chem 211 (lab), Anthrbio161 and Psych 112 this fall.


In Michigan, one is so patriotic that you literally eat the M out of the self made waffle on your plate.


And our university publishes our own Newspaper called the Michigan Daily.

oh man im going crazy from all the fun Welcome Week in Michigan. There is just so much free food, freebies, games and fun. (note: all these alraedy paid for in school fees, so might as well go all out and enjoy)

There was escapade, artscapade and convocation yesterday. It was those kinda night activities where theres stalls, free samples and cheap sales to look out for. There was also a dance floor as well as free pool to play. There was also this polaroid photo booth for us to pose as the mascots of MIChigan.hahaha.

Well today we had Maize Craze which was just an event with more free food and serious Tshrit grabbing craze. There were cheerleading performances as well! Well I queued up for this Tshirt printing service where we take a photo den get it printed onto shirts lar. Its really prettttyyy! like theres 9 of us in the photo.hahaha. but my "2" sign (act cute gesture) got cropped away.

After that i had stockwell swirl, where i went to mingle around with the people in my dorm. Mostly angmohs lar, den they were surprised that i came from singapore. Some dont know where that is! Wah angmoh women can get quite bitchy, i realised.

Anw, my roommate Jenny has moved in already. Shes like the greatest roommate I could ever ask for. Really nice and sweet girl. She studied in BarIlan Uni in Israel last year, so shes now back to do her sophomore year in Michigan. My room was sup to be a triple room, but theres only the 2 of us who moved in, so its really great! We ve got an absolutely huge space each=) btw, shes a Jewish NewYorker and shes got a really nice nose=P

just came back from Meijer Madness. Meijer is this huge shopping mart, like carrefour, and each year they plan this event especially for UofM. They give out free hotdogs, free flow drinks, karaoke games, daytona, DDR and great slashes, offers and more freebies for Michigan students to enjoy. The entire event was actually from 9 to 1 am!!! Night life in welcome week is so funnn.=) well, we were walking around looking for stuff to kop, when we came to this place where some people were playing the "cakewalk". Its a game where you step on numbers on the floor when you walk/dance in a circle. When the music stops, the gamemaster draws some numbers randomly. And whoever is stepping on the no that is picked gets a free cupcake!

Thats not the funny part, of course. The cream on top of the cupcakes come in 2 colours. Blue and Yellow, which is the michigan school colour. THen when you start to eat the cupcakes, entire mouth just turns either blue or yellow and your teeth gets completely stained. Shenye looked like an evil witch with her blue cupcake.hahaha.

Im starting to love michigan. And im so devoted,Im changing my tagboard to the school colours. Hail to the victors valient!=))
